Stephanie Cime created an inflatable artwork in the shape of a drop specifically for the festival. “The work is about the search for who we really are,” says Stephanie. “Many people struggle with the expectations placed upon us from childhood. That doesn’t make us happy. I create drops that are cut in half: in the center, there is a core that represents our authentic self, surrounded by layers that symbolize everything that prevents us from being ourselves. The idea is that I want to guide people back to their true selves.”
Artist Stephanie Cime is also part of Antwerp On Air with her Drops of I am. These are not inflatable works, but sculptures in the shape of drops. "It's about the search for ourselves," she says. "The drops are cut in half and reveal different layers inside. They are a mirror of who we are as humans."
