The works of ROOTS, therefore, include an invitation for the observer to dig down deep to find his own roots, his true identity. To get past the fear of not being accepted and the self-consciousness that come with giving up the pursuit of an “ideal or perfect image” or notions on how to be “normal” or “fit in” and instead to embrace the invitation to live an honest, imperfect life.
